Psalms 73: 17 UNTIL I WENT INTO THE SANCTUARY OF GOD
Updated: Oct 14, 2021
Have you, like me, wondered, and if we were totally honest, had a desire to have a lot of things; great opportunities, maybe even a new car, the luxury home, on and on............ And looking at those that seem to have so much in this life, without them ever acknowledging our great Lord?
Well, I like the Psalms writer, David, as he asks these questions in Psalms 73 was at one time just asking sometimes those same things that we maybe have ask.
He writes from the beginning of Psalm 73. I was envious of the foolish when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. The other men are not in trouble, their eyes stand out with fatness, they have more than a heart could wish. They are corrupt and speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, saying, " how does God know, is there any knowledge in the Highest? ( The Most High)
He continues; Have I cleansed my heart in vain and washed my hands in innocence?
BUT, OH I LOVE when I get to verse 16-17 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me, V-17 UNTIL I WENT INTO THE SANCTUARY of GOD; then understood I their end.
Friends, this is what it's all about! Don't worry about what you are foolish in seeing, because there is an end and they will miss heaven. The MOST IMPORTANT. And forever and ever.
