IN THE PRESENCE...OF JEHOVAH, GOD ALMIGHTY, PRINCE OF PEACE...

Updated: Apr 5, 2022

Troubles vanish, hearts are mended, in the presence of the King.

These are some beautiful lyrics to a great song, but I am confessing as I write this encouraging blog, It's the hardest blog I think I have ever written.

This has been a hard and struggling last couple of weeks for me, and maybe for you also.

So..I wanted to share my thoughts in hopes that they will help you as they have me.

So many people take for granted that when they are Christ-followers, they sail through life without problems. Have you never heard of, " He never promised us a rose garden", but, He did give us many promises in scripture that lets us know that He is with us through it all.

He promises in Deuteronomy 31:6 Don't be afraid, for I will go with you, I will never leave you or forsake you. It's when we start relying on and trusting ourselves in place of our Lord God Almighty that we become afraid.

My heart is heavy with a family problem; a sister with paranoia, a mental condition that recently started as an infection, but as the month went on, all tests and the doctors began to understand that it is more of a condition, that she turned into a full-blown sting that only pain pills could cure.

I only agree with this because she's been there before. She was diagnosed with Schizophrenia, many years ago. If she would take her meds, it's kept under control. Why not take them as prescribed? Only she knows.

So how do I handle doing all I can for her; cleaning her apartment, doing her laundry, and making it all clean and ready when she comes home from 8 days in the hospital?

I pray; I ask God for direction, I shed bottles of tears, I even ask God, " Why me" to have to care for several of my siblings over the years. Then the Holy Spirit takes me to, " In the presence of Jehovah, God Almighty, Prince of Peace. Troubles vanish, hearts are mended, in the presence of my King. Friends this is what I want you to do. Go into the presence of our King. Life can be dark, but, when we have Jesus, we have all we need. Romans 5;2-5 gives us this assurance that God will take our hurts, and give us hope because of His grace and love, which he pours into our hearts in troubled times. Psalms 50;15 confirms that if we call unto Him in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

So, I go into the presence of Jehovah. I find my peace. May you join me there.
